Born in Japan, Aya is an internationally experienced hair and makeup artist with over 12 years of professional experience.

In 2011, while studying English and Tourism at university, Aya moved to the United States for what was originally planned as a six-month study abroad programme, but it became a two-year journey. Inspired by the diverse beauty cultures she encountered, Aya realised she wanted to become a makeup artist, combining her passion for beauty with her dream of travelling and working around the world.

After graduating, Aya worked as a hair and makeup assistant before launching her freelance career in Tokyo, building a strong foundation in professional beauty artistry.
